For more than 40 years, one thing has never changed: at Bernatello’s, we put people first.

What started as a small, family-owned brick facility based in Norwood Young America, Minnesota, in 1982 is now one of the top producing frozen pizza companies in the country.

Growth like this doesn’t happen without hard work, a sense of humbleness, and care for the community. We’ve spent nearly half a century perfecting our products, but more importantly, we cultivated a culture that embraces individuality and welcomes everyone as they are.

History

1982

Bernatello’s Pizza began at a small brick facility in Norwood Young America.

1985

Maple Lake Plant, Bernatello’s first automated production facility, was built.

2000

The Dadco Foods acquisition brought Roma Pizza into the Bernatello’s family of brands and pushed Bernatello’s from warehouse distribution to direct store delivery.

2007

Bellatoria launched and simultaneously ended the Bernatello’s Pizza brand on packaging.

2012

We launched Brew Pub, which has become our flagship brand, and the acquisition of Orv’s gave us the iconic name Lotzza Motzza.

2016

Bernatello’s added Pizza Corner to the brand portfolio and acquired a warehouse that is essential to the distribution network today.

2021

Bernatello’s acquired Cold Front Distribution from Dairy Farmers of America, which allows for direct store delivery growth outside of the Midwest.

2023

With the acquisition of Festive Foods in Waupaca, WI, Bernatello’s has its third manufacturing facility.
